"In the beginning of things in ages past there were the Ancient Ones, masters of flesh, fire, and steel, who forged the elements of which the world was made. When mortal men and beasts came into the world the Ancient Ones purposed to have dominion over them, hence they commanded that the Swords of the Ancients be created. They were forged of secret alloys and each sword was bequeathed a special power by the Ancients. The swords have been used throughout the ages in the eternal struggle between good and evil." ...from the Tale of the Swords of the Ancients mythology

The Swords of the Ancients is a tale told in story, art, and steel. Immerse yourself in the 10,000 year mythology about the creation of Ammon, the Ancient Ones, the Blades of Power, and the various characters who encountered them in this massive tale of gods and mortals. The highly popular Swords of the Ancients collection, created in 1997, has become legendary the world over among collectible sword enthusiasts. The SOTA collection single handedly created the “fantasy sword” industry in the 1990s, and there were many imitators, but these are the genuine articles. The original ten swords are highly sought after, with additions added to the line every few years. Each features false edged, tempered stainless steel blades, but these are NOT functional swords and were never intended to be. They are collectible fantasy art, meant for collectors to display. Kit does design functional swords and knives for brands like Honshu and Shikoto, but those are not for the fantasy collector. The SOTA hilts are crafted from highly detailed castings, all made to Kit's designs and exacting specifications. Each includes an accompanying art print and a certificate of authenticity including the lore about the weapon.
