PETE CORNISH P-2 |
PETE CORNISH P-2 DISTORTION/FUZZ - Here are clips of the P-2. To my ears, the P-2 is a mix of the better parts of both a V2 Ram's Head Big Muff and a V9 Civil War Big Muff. The mids of a CW and drive of a RH Muff. The class A buffer preamp helps clean up and brighten anything else that comes after it in the signal chain. David Gilmour used one, as well as a Civil War Big Muff, in his 1990s touring rig. This clips are the P-2 with some delay from a TC Electonic Nova delay. Played with a 2008 American Standard Strat, Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge pickup, Fender CS69 neck pickup, into a '65 Fender Twin Reverb RI. I have a full review of the P-2 here. In this order: Ram's Head Big Muff and P-2 playing leads. P-2 LIVE GILMOUR 1990s TONE - In these clips I was going for the DSOT/Pulse live tone, with combinations of the BK Butler Tube Driver, and Boss CS-2 compressor. On all of these clips I have a TC Nova delay in stereo and a Boss CE-2 chorus on in the left channel only so it does not dominate the sound. Played with a 2008 American Standard Strat, Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge pickup, into a '65 Fender Twin Reverb RI.. P-2 Demo 1 P-2 Demo 2 P-2 Demo 3 |
